Many Loved It...
Beauty and the Beast did everything it needed to do to make fans of the original happy and enchant a new audience. Going to make crazy money

Entire cast was great but have to give special mention to @joshgad & @TheRealLukevans who killed it in Beauty and the Beast. pic.twitter.com/MTu6YywIby

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is fantastic. Utterly beautiful/hilarious/touching. A very worthy iteration.

A tale as old as time w/a fresh, new POV. #BeautyAndTheBeast is a must-see. Belle is my favorite princess ever. #dreambigprincess #weallgrow pic.twitter.com/FSBKrmCksr

#TaleAsOldAsTime you've managed to tell me the story I know & love, and make it feel like it's the first time #BeautyAndTheBeast @beourguest

#Gaston, @TheRealLukevans is amazing in #BeautyAndTheBeast I had no idea you could sing like that, and your performance is 💯 @beourguest pic.twitter.com/DhmZcp7pU7

#EmmaThompson, you are a treasure. Your portrayal of #MrsPotts is sure to make #AngelaLansbury proud. #BeautyAndTheBeast @beourguest pic.twitter.com/R4DVJZcLha

Some Were More Luke Warm...
Beauty and the Beast feels much longer than the animated film. The production and costume design are exquisite. Josh Gad steals the show.

The new #BeautyAndTheBeast is cheesy, cute, sweet, weird, quite flawed and very nice to look at. I liked it.
— Eric Walkuski (@ericwalkuski) March 3, 2017
#BeautyandtheBeast is a more than satisfactory retelling of the animated classic that mixes alluring visuals with a charismatic tone. pic.twitter.com/GZSFrtillG
— Connor Behrens (@ConnorBehrens) March 3, 2017
#BeautyAndTheBeast is a mixed bag of parlor tricks, with a much stronger second half than first. Honestly needed more Nolan than Luhrmann
— Joseph Braverman (@JBraverman1) March 3, 2017
A few were not pleased...
Beauty and the Beast is a bloated, passionless affair. When I admit Luke Evans is the high point, that says a lot.
— Kristen Lopez (@kristenlopez88) March 3, 2017
Key word for the new BEAUTY & THE BEAST is redundant. Rarely strives to improve on the original, CG is shockingly bad and casting tone deaf.

One was a bit weird...
Finally, I can't understand why she says "still Disney" like that is a bad thing...
Happily surprised. #EmmaWatson makes for an improved, more #feminist friendly #BeautyAndTheBeast. Still Disney, but better than expected.
