Disney Jr. and ESPN Team Up to Bring Playtime Fun to Chicago

Of course, Mickey joined in on the fun!

Disney Jr. and ESPN brought a day of free sports activities to young children and families in Chicago with the “Let’s Play Sports!” community event.

What’s Happening:

  • Disney Jr. and ESPN partnered with the Chicago Park District and ABC7 Chicago to host the free “Let’s Play Sports!” event.
  • Children ages 3 to 7 had the opportunity to try a variety of sports, including soccer, boxing, baseball, and gymnastics.
  • The event took place Saturday at the ComEd Recreational Center on Chicago’s Near West Side.
  • Organizers designed the event to spark joy, build confidence, and introduce families to youth sports opportunities in their communities.
  • Mickey Mouse joined the festivities, which also featured music and activities throughout the day.
  • Nonprofit partner Every Kid Sports participated in the event, helping families learn about resources designed to reduce the financial barriers associated with youth sports.

  • This comes right after the Disney Jr. Let’s Play! fun arrived at Disney California Adventure, inviting small guests and their families to jump into a day filled with fun!
  • Make sure you check out our recap and dance along from home!
