98th Academy Awards - Winner from The Walt Disney Company
It's a wonderful night for Oscar, and all of Hollywood is turning their attention to the Dolby Theater for this year's Academy Awards ceremony.
While many were hopeful for a number of titles to be nominated this year, Sinners, Frankenstein, and Marty Supreme seem to be leading the race. Conan O'Brien returns once again to host the festivities, which also features several Disney nominations this year. Zootopia 2, Elio, and Avatar: Fire and Ash, are all nominated. Counting Disney-owned Industrial Light & Magic, there is one category that is a lock for the company - Visual Effects.

And as it turned out, that would be the only award the Disney company took home tonight, with One Battle After Another winning the Best Picture award among others. Michael B. Jordan took home a Best Actor award for his roles in Sinners, which also won director Ryan Coogler an award for Best Original Screenplay. In the realm of animation, which is often a sure thing for the Disney company with Walt Disney Animation Studios or Pixar Animation Studios films being nominated, there were two nominees that were grossly overshadowed by the massive critical and audience reviews of Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters which took home the honor of Best Animated Feature, as well as Best Original Song for "Golden."
You can catch a replay of the ceremony starting on March 16 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
