Marvel is celebrating the “most wonderful time of the year” with Marvel Winter Break Special 2026 #1, arriving this December.
What’s Happening:
- Marvel Winter Break Special 2026 #1 arrives in comic shops this December, following last year's Marvel Winter Break Special and the recent revival of the Marvel Swimsuit Special.
- The one-shot will feature winter-themed pinups showcasing Marvel heroes celebrating seasonal traditions and sporting their winter looks.
- The special will also include two New Year's-themed stories as Marvel's heroes dress up for a massive New Year's Eve party to ring in 2027.
- Wolverine will organize the world's first Avengers vs. X-Men hockey game.
- Creators contributing to the issue include Ryan North, Christina Strain, Javier Garrón, and Pete Woods, along with additional Marvel artists.
- David Nakayama created the main cover for the upcoming special.
- Marvel Winter Break Special 2026 #1 is available to preorder now through local comic shops, and releases on December 2nd.
- Marvel will also release a collection of Winter Break Variant Covers in December, with additional details to be announced.
Wolverine’s Darkest Chapter Yet:
- Marvel Comics will explore a dark, previously untold chapter of Logan’s history in Wolverine: Origin III – The Dark Age, also launching this December.
- Set to release just after Marvel Winter Break Special 2026 #1, explore a new side of Wolverine.
