Disney Cruise Line Teases Announcement Using Navigational Coordinates

Hey, remember in Augusts of years past when we get the same kind of announcement from Disney Cruise Line?

Disney Cruise Line has teased a cryptic set of coordinates, but the mystery may not be as big as it seems.

What's Happening:

  • Disney Cruise Line has shared a new post featuring a series of coordinates, teasing a big announcement to be revealed tomorrow, August 25, 2026.
  • The image features a unnamed ship, and six geographical coordinates that are incomplete, giving only latitude but not longitude.
  • That said, a bit of research seems to suggest that these will inevitably lead to:
    • New York, NY
    • St. Maarten or San Juan, PR
    • Galveston, TX
    • San Diego, CA
    • Port Canaveral, FL
    • Castaway Cay, Bahamas
  • While we don't know the official specifics, it can be surmised that we are getting a drop of new itineraries and destinations that can be booked for voyages aboard Disney Cruise Line.
  • This also comes on the heels of an announcement back in April that Disney Cruise Line plans to increase the number of departures from San Diego, California, and another effort to increase their calling in the port of St. Maarten.
  • It's also, historically speaking, the time of year when we learn of future itineraries offered by Disney Cruise Line. For example, it was last August 19th when we learned of 2026-27 itineraries. So, it's a safe bet that this will likely be the itineraries for 2027-2028, with the coordinates pointing to new and familiar locales for destinations and departure ports.

  • What remains to be seen, however, is whether or not we will learn about the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Believe.
  • While we are set to learn more specifics about the onboard experience the new ship will feature - aside from the details revealed at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event - we do know the ship is set to debut in late 2027, which would theoretically be in the new batch of itineraries that would drop.
  • The big question would be where the new ship is homeported. It's a safe bet that it will be in Florida - perhaps with another ship moved (I.E., the Disney Wish, which is set to begin European cruises in Summer of 2027) to make room. The follow up question would then be, is the ship headed to Port Canaveral, or Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale - where the Disney Destiny was homeported for its inaugural season.
  • We'll know more for sure with the official reveal tomorrow.
