Hong Kong Disneyland Shines Spotlight On Newly Announced Pixar-Themed Theatrical Show
The show will feature favorite Pixar Pals from their pantheon of classics.
As the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong Disneyland continues, we’re getting promised a new immersive theatrical experience based on many of our Pixar pals that will come to the new park.
What’s Happening:
- Helping celebrate their 20th anniversary, Hong Kong Disneyland has announced a new immersive theatrical experience coming to the park.
- The experience is set to be based on some of the Pixar Animation Films, with favorites coming to the theater to celebrate the joy of friendship and the power of play.
- The art also shows Mike Wasowski and Sulley from the hit Pixar film, Monsters, Inc. but it is unclear at this time whether or not the show will revolve solely around these two and their madcap misadventure.
- Outside of a piece of art and those few details, no other information was shared about the new show at this time.
- The announcement also comes on the heels of new art revealed for a new Marvel experience that was earlier touted as a Spider-Man attraction, but now seems to feature a number of Marvel heroes.
- No opening date or timeline has been revealed for either the Pixar experience or the Marvel experience at this time.
Pixar On Stage:
- The new immersive Pixar-based theatrical experience coming to Hong Kong Disneyland is only the latest in what seem to be a number of Pixar-based experiences to the Disney Parks and Destinations overseas.
- In Shanghai, there are some new and limited-time Pixar experiences taking place, including the transformation of one of the park’s restaurants.
- Similar to what’s happening in Hong Kong, a new stage show coming to the Disney Adventure (which will home port in Singapore) will star Pixar’s WALL-E and EVE, alongside characters from Coco and other films from the Walt Disney Animation Studios.
