“Bridgerton” Star Simone Ashley, "Charlie's Angels" Icon Lucy Liu and More Strut Into “The Devil Wears Prada 2”
The highly-anticipated sequel is set to arrive in theaters next May.
As production gets underway on The Devil Wears Prada 2, five actors have been revealed to join the cast of the upcoming film, including Bridgerton star Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak and Pauline Chalamet.

- Deadline reports that Simone Ashley has joined the cast of The Devil Wears Prada 2, which just went into production last week.
- Additionally, Variety reports that Hollywood stars Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, and Pauline Chalamet; Broadway stars Helen J. Shen and Contrad Ricamora; and comedian Caleb Hearon are also set to make fashionable appearances in the 2026 film.
- The highly-anticipated sequel will see Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci reprise their roles from the 2006 hit film.
- No details have been revealed about the characters the actors will play in the film.
- Ashley came to acclaim for her role as Lady Kathani ‘Kate’ Bridgerton in the popular Netflix series, and also appeared in Sex Education and in a small role in Disney’s live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid.
- Lucy Liu has an illustrious career, tying her to projects like Charlie’s Angels, Kill Bill, and more. She has previously worked with Disney in the Tinkerbell movie series.
- Theroux recently starred in Miami Vice and Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.
- Novak is sure to bring his comedic prowess to the sequel, as his rise to fame came from the iconic sit-com The Office.
- Chalamet, who is the older sister of Timothée Chalamet, became popular on HBO Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls.
- Broadway’s Shen and Ricamora are known for Come From Away and Oh, Mary!, respectively.
- The Devil Wears Prada 2 is said to see Miranda Priestly (Streep) facing the decline of magazine publishing. Runway is suffering financially, and Priestly will turn to Emily Charlton for help. Emily, played by Emily Blunt in the original film, has risen from stressed-out assistant to a powerful executive at a luxury brand.
- Also joining the cast is Oscar-winner Kenneth Branagh, who’ll play the husband of Streep’s Miranda Priestly.
- Talent is also returning behind the camera, with Aline Brosh McKenna once again writing the screenplay with David Frankel directing.
- The Devil Wears Prada 2 will hit theaters on May 1st, 2026.
